Lookers in Colchester invites applications for an Apprentice Technician. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience from day one within our Aftersales team, helping you service and maintain vehicles while you learn on the job.

We provide a three-year training programme with support from a dedicated mentor, structured progression, and a competitive entry wage of £8 per hour. GCSEs in English, Maths and Science are required, with strong literacy and numeracy expected.

Qualificações

• GCSE English, Maths and Science at grade 9-4 (A-C) or equivalent.
• Good levels of literacy and numeracy.
• Strong communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and listen to instructions.
• Ability to build good relationships with colleagues across the business.
• Ability to ask questions and learn quickly on the job.
• Willingness to use your own initiative.

Responsabilidades

• Testing of parts and systems to ensure correct working.
• Undertaking repair and maintenance of vehicle parts including clutches, gearboxes, tyres, brakes, and suspension.
• Maintenance of electronic systems including onboard entertainment systems.
• Carrying out bumper to bumper overview, service, and inspection.
• Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard.
