Job summary

Arriva TrainCare is seeking an Apprentice Vehicle Body Technician at our Darlington depot. You’ll be trained to assess vehicle damage, decide repairability, remove and repair panels, and support the team to keep buses on the road.

This 4-year programme leads to Vehicle Damage Panel Technician Level 3, with training blocks in Glasgow and hands-on experience across body repair, safety systems, and tools.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic about hands-on mechanical work.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety rules.
• Ability to work in a team at a depot.

Responsibilities

• Learn to assess vehicle damage and decide repairability.
• Remove and repair damaged panels under supervision.
