Job description
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to delivering high‑quality client service across a diverse rural property portfolio
  • Support the management of rural assets including residential, commercial, agricultural, and sporting assets
  • Help identify and implement opportunities to enhance and diversify clients' estates
  • Coordinate and oversee compliance, maintenance, and refurbishment activities
  • Assist with lettings, lease renewals, and rent reviews for a range of property types
  • Provide information management: data, information and advice for clients relevant to the surveying discipline
  • Recommend solutions to ensure safe and secure working environments
  • Provide advice relating to the construction technology of buildings and their materials
  • Negotiate and agree terms for acquisition/disposal of property, standard forms of building contracts or other property related contracts and liaise with legal advisers
  • Manage instructions from engagement to completion
  • Undertake building surveys, inspections and provide advice and recommendations to clients relating to building surveys
  • Prepare designs and specifications for building projects from proposal to completion of the design and specification process
  • Implement administrative procedures for running a construction project, issue instructions, manage variations, completion and possession issues and certificates
  • Prepare capital and rental valuations of land and property and client reports
  • Negotiate solutions to issues affecting both owners and occupiers of land and property
  • Undertake inspections of land and property, prepare reports and advice, taking measurements and preparing/ presenting them appropriately
  • Provide advice on procurement routes and manage tendering processes
  • Undertake detailed quantification, costing and cost planning of complex construction works
  • Manage construction phase, life cycle costing and value engineering processes, prepare data, reports and forecasts
Training Programme

On‑the‑job training is provided to ensure all the required knowledge and experience is obtained throughout the apprenticeship to qualify successfully. 5 year training programme (Level 6 Apprenticeship), which includes a part‑time undergraduate degree (4 years) and an APC training programme (2 years, enrolled at the beginning of your 3rd year at University) leading to qualification as a Chartered Surveyor (RICS). Once you've successfully passed your APC and become a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, you'll continue to receive training and career development opportunities. We will provide the full suite of Savills training programme including mandatory health and safety and office training, as well as specific training relevant to your role. We ensure that your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is current and that all staff are fully up‑to‑date with changes to legislation and business needs.

Qualifications
  • GCSE in: English (grade 4 or above), Maths (grade 4 or above)
  • Other in: A‑levels/BTEC/Equivalent (grade 4 or above)
  • Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
