Job summary

Network Plus in Alfreton is seeking an Apprentice Storesperson to manage yard stores, liaising with supervisors to support material ordering and distribution for field operations. The role focuses on improving efficiency, reducing costs, and growing into a Storesperson position over time.

The successful candidate will establish depot locations, issue stock to Operations, maintain stock records in Sage, monitor levels, and ensure PPE and safety compliance within the yard, with a focus on

• Establish and continuously monitor the depot and stores location, ensuring strong housekeeping
• Issue all stock to Operations teams
• Accurately capture, and record of all stock issued in sage
• Check stock levels on a regular basis
• Be responsible for storing, cataloguing and distributing supplies by arranging for collection and delivery of equipment and/or packages
• Ensure relationships are in place to source strategic stock at short noti
• Ensure there is appropriate PPE to maintain a safe working environment
• Ensure suppliers maintain compliance with delivery specifications
• Check quantities of unpacked supplies against delivery notes and purchase orders
• Maintain Health, Safety & compliance within the yard

Description

As an Apprentice Storesperson, you will have ultimate responsibility for everything that moves within the yard and stores. You will liaise with supervisors and operatives to support the ordering and distribution of materials and supplies for use in field operations. You will successfully employ best business practices to improve efficiency, reduce operating costs and increase performance.

The below responsibilities are just a taster of what you would be doing day to day. We see this role growing into a Storesperson role long term, and we will support you on your journey. At this stage we would just be looking for someone who is looking to progress.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for someone to:
