Job summary

Superdrug is hiring an Apprentice Sales Assistant in Birmingham. You’ll serve customers with a smile, feature Star Buys, and ensure the store is well-stocked and inviting. The role offers hands-on training, with a path to Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship after the initial in-store training year.

The position suits someone with GCSEs, a positive attitude, and a hunger to grow with a popular health and beauty retailer. 39 hours weekly, shifts flexible, salary £10.55 per hour.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or equivalent.
• Not currently in education and available for full-time shifts.
• Haven’t completed a Retail Apprenticeship before.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Brand new to retail.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers with a smile and promote Star Buys.
• Keep the store well-presented and fully stocked.
• Contribute to smashing store targets and learning on the job.
• Training in-store over the first 12 months leading to Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship.
• Work is hands-on, fast-paced and focused on growth.

As an Apprentice Sales Assistant at Superdrug, you’ll be right at the heart of the action—serving customers with a smile, sharing our amazing Star Buys, and making sure everyone leaves feeling great!

You’ll help keep the store looking its best and fully stocked, while playing a key role in smashing store targets.

It’s a hands‑on, fast‑paced role that’s never boring and packed with chances to learn. We see our Apprentice Sales Assistants as future Team Leaders, and we’ll give you everything you need to grow—with brilliant training, and real opportunities to progress.

Your training will take place in-store over the first 12 months, so no college days and no homework! At the end of your training period, you will complete a discussion around your experiences and an observation of you performing your role. You will be supported throughout by your team and your tutor to achieve your Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship.

You qualify if…

• You have a grade 4 / C GCSE (or equivalent) in English and maths (national 4’s for Scotland)

• You HAVEN’T completed a Retail Apprenticeship before
• You are eligible to work in the UK
• You are brand new to retail
