Job summary

Superdrug Stores is offering a hands-on Apprentice Sales Assistant role at our Balham store. You’ll engage customers, promote Star Buys, and help keep the shop well stocked as you learn on the job.

The apprenticeship includes in-store training over 12 months, with no college days, plus support to achieve the Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship. A perfect start for someone new to retail and eligible to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths grade 4/C or equivalent.
• Able to learn and adapt in a retail environment.
• Strong customer service focus and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers with a smile and promote Star Buys.
• Keep the store well stocked and presentable.
• Support store targets through daily tasks and teamwork.
• Partake in in-store training and progress toward Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship.

As an Apprentice Sales Assistant at Superdrug, you’ll be right at the heart of the action—serving customers with a smile, sharing our amazing Star Buys, and making sure everyone leaves feeling great!

You’ll help keep the store looking its best and fully stocked, while playing a key role in smashing store targets.

It’s a hands-on, fast-paced role that’s never boring and packed with chances to learn. We see our Apprentice Sales Assistants as future Team Leaders, and we’ll give you everything you need to grow—with brilliant training, and real opportunities to progress.

Your training will take place in-store over the first 12 months, so no college days and no homework! At the end of your training period, you will complete a discussion around your experiences and an observation of you performing your role. You will be supported throughout by your team and your tutor to achieve your Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship

What you’ll bring to the role:

• A positive mindset & clear communication skills
• Passionate about health & beauty and customer service
• Desire to learn and improve your knowledge/skills
• Flexible in working hours and adaptable to change

You qualify if…

• You have a grade 4 / C GCSE (or equivalent) in English and maths (national 4’s for Scotland)
• You are not currently in any form of education, and you are available for full time shifts
• You HAVEN’T completed a Retail Apprenticeship before
• You are eligible to work in the UK
• You are brand new to retail
