Job summary

Superdrug is recruiting an Apprentice Sales Assistant to join our Birmingham store. You will be at the heart of customer service, helping shoppers find products, sharing Star Buys and ensuring a welcoming store environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning with in-store training over the first 12 months, without college days, and culminates in a Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship. You will support stock replenishment, maintain store standards, and work toward achieving store targets.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths grade 4/C (or equivalent).
• Available for full-time shifts and not currently in any education program.
• No Retail Apprenticeship completed previously.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Brand new to retail.

As an Apprentice Sales Assistant at Superdrug, you’ll be right at the heart of the action—serving customers with a smile, sharing our amazing Star Buys, and making sure everyone leaves feeling great! You’ll help keep the store looking its best and fully stocked, while playing a key role in smashing store targets. It’s a hands‑on, fast‑paced role that’s never boring and packed with chances to learn. We see our Apprentice Sales Assistants as future Team Leaders, and we’ll give you everything you need to grow—with brilliant training, and real opportunities to progress. Your training will take place in‑store over the first 12 months, so no college days and no homework! At the end of your training period, you will complete a discussion around your experiences and an observation of you performing your role. You will be supported throughout by your team and your tutor to achieve your Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship.

You qualify if…

• You have a grade 4 / C GCSE (or equivalent) in English and maths (national 4’s for Scotland)
• You are not currently in any form of education, and you are available for full time shifts
• You HAVEN’T completed a Retail Apprenticeship before
• You are eligible to work in the UK
• You are brand new to retail
