Job summary

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an apprentice to support the CT and Radiology departments as a radiographic support worker, assisting radiologists and radiographers and helping to maintain smooth patient flows.

This role combines on‑the‑job duties with the Senior Healthcare Support Worker - Diagnostic Imaging Pathway Level 3 apprenticeship, with entry requirements and a 6‑month probation.

Qualifications

• Be 16 years old or over (18+ for clinical vacancies)
• Right to work in the UK for the duration of the apprenticeship
• Ordinarily resident in the UK for the past 3 years

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively and work well in a team and follow direction for day‑to‑day running within the modality.
• Be part of Imaging Department team delivering a safe, efficient, high‑quality service.
• Support Radiologists, Radiographers and Sonographers, including room prep, patient care, vital signs and clerical duties.
• Work flexibly across weekdays and weekends in a 7‑day department.
