Matalan is offering an Apprentice Product Technologist role to join our Product team, starting a Level 4 Fashion and Textiles Product Technologist Apprenticeship. You’ll contribute from concept through to production, ensuring quality, fit, comfort and performance in our footwear ranges.

You'll work with Buying, Design, Quality and Supplier teams, review samples, attend fit sessions, assist with product testing and help maintain technical product information, gaining hands-on experience and

Job description

We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice Product Technologist to join our Product team and start an exciting career in fashion and retail. Working towards the Level 4 Fashion and Textiles Product Technologist Apprenticeship, you'll gain hands-on experience while learning from experienced colleagues and developing industry-recognised skills. You'll support the development of our footwear ranges from concept through to production, helping to ensure products meet our high standards of quality, fit, comfort and performance. Working closely with Buying, Design, Quality and Supplier teams, you'll review samples, attend fit sessions, support product testing and help maintain technical product information.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with a passion for fashion and footwear, strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn. A proactive and positive attitude is essential, along with the confidence to ask questions, seek feedback and take ownership of your development. You'll enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team, building strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers and other stakeholders. Good IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office applications, are important, as is a passion for creating high-quality products that deliver great experiences for our customers.
