Job summary

Prysmian Group in Leeds is offering an Apprentice Project Manager role for those starting a career in engineering and construction. You’ll learn how major projects are planned and delivered while working with experienced PMs and engineers on EGL1.

No prior PM experience is required. The program combines hands-on site work with a fully funded degree-level qualification in Project Management, mentoring, and structured training to support your career in renewable energy.

Qualifications

• Aged 16–18 and eager to learn.
• No prior project management experience required; training and mentoring provided.
• Fully funded degree-level qualification in Project Management available.

Responsibilities

• Support the PM team with day-to-day coordination of project activities.
• Attend team meetings and record actions, decisions and updates.
• Monitor progress against milestones and deadlines.
• Help maintain project documentation, records and reports.
• Learn how schedules and delivery plans are developed and managed.
• Support communication between engineers, construction teams, subcontractors and clients.
• Visit project sites to understand construction activities and safety.
• Assist in organizing meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagement.
• Track project risks, issues and opportunities.
• Prepare presentations, dashboards and progress reports.
