Job summary

Arnold Clark Group invites applications for an Apprentice Panel Beater at our Dundee Accident and Repair Centre. You will learn all aspects of body repair, refitting panels, welding and alignment under the guidance of skilled mentors.

The programme leads to a Level 3 Body Repair qualification with hands-on experience across Arnold Clark Bodyshops. You will receive training, tools, and support to achieve your driving licence during year two and join a team with excellent employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have National 4 or above in Maths, English and a science or technical subject.
• Good literacy and numeracy.
• Great communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work safely while completing workshop tasks.
• Professional and responsible attitude.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Repair vehicle damage to manufacturers' specifications.
• Carry out general housekeeping in the bodyshop.
• Liaise with mentors and supervisors to carry out tasks.
• Remove and refit vehicle body panels and trims.
• Apply body fillers to rectify panels.
• Set up and test equipment.

Job description

We are looking for enthusiastic Apprentice Panel Beaters to work in various Arnold Clark branches across Scotland while gaining an industry-recognised qualification.

At the end of your training, you'll have a Level 3 Body Repair qualification and hands-on experience in an Arnold Clark Bodyshop.

Hours

Full time: 39 hours a week.

As an Apprentice Panel Beater for Arnold Clark, you will work closely with mentors and supervisors to learn all aspects of body repair, including refitting body panels and trims, welding and body alignment. This role would suit someone with good practical and communication skills.

As well as extensive training in a fast-paced workplace, you will also work towards gaining a Level 3 qualification in Body Repair, putting you on the road to a successful career in the automotive industry.
