Job summary

Partou Nurseries is offering an Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship that lets you train while you work, earning as you learn. You’ll observe experienced practitioners, take on meaningful responsibilities, and progress towards a Level 2 qualification within a caring, child-centered setting.

You’ll be mentored by qualified staff and supported to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, while contributing to planning and delivering EYFS-aligned activities.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship to become Early Years Practitioner under Level 2 apprenticeship standard.
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours required for the role.
• Functional skills in maths and English if required; strong communication skills.
• Creative, initiative and non-judgemental approach; organised and patient.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain children's records.
• Understand safeguarding policies and follow them.
• Share responsibility for health, safety, cleanliness and wellbeing of children.
• Help plan and deliver activities aligned with the EYFS.

Alongside observing experienced practitioners, apprentices take on meaningful responsibilities such as planning and maintaining children's records, developing an understanding of safeguarding policies, and sharing responsibility for the health, safety, cleanliness, and overall wellbeing of the children. You'll be supported and mentored every step of the way by qualified staff, build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, and help plan and deliver activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:
