Job summary

Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust is seeking an Apprentice Learning Support Assistant at Holyhead Primary Academy. The role supports children in the EYFS, under teacher direction, focusing on safeguarding and inclusion.

It is a fixed-term apprenticeship with a dedicated training plan and CPD opportunities. The post offers an apprentice salary of £11,507 per annum (apprentice rate £8 per hour) for 31 hours per week during term time plus training days.

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who is passionate and dedicated teaching assistant who is committed to the welfare and development of children within the Early Years Foundation Stage. The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of the EYFS curriculum, child development, and possess a strong commitment to safeguarding and supporting children with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people and follow school and Trust policies including the staff code of conduct.
• To provide classroom support to pupils under the direction of the teacher.
• Supporting children with additional educational needs
