Job description
Overview

Apprentice In Hospitality, Food and Drink – 37 hpw, 6 hours college time included.

Workplace Location: Thurston Outdoor Education Centre, Coniston, Cumbria, LA21 8AB. One year Fixed Term contract. Rate of Pay: £8.22 per hour.

Work Pattern: Flexible to cover the needs of the centre. Weekly hours will be worked over 10 days in a 14 day period. Working rosters will be agreed in advance. Will include weekend and evening work.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Support delivery at a busy outdoor centre across front of house, domestic and catering departments.
  • Undertake a Level 2 apprentice programme in partnership with Kendal College, including on and off the job training.
  • Contribute to the hospitality and catering experience for young people and schools.

Requirements
  • Maths and English Level 2 Functional Skills or GCSE qualifications grade A* to C (or 4 to 9)
  • EHC Plan (special consideration for those with an education, health and care plan) or legacy statement: apprenticeships English and Maths minimum requirement is Entry Level 3; British Sign Language qualification can be an alternative to English qualifications where this is the primary language
