Job summary

Mitie is offering an Apprentice role in Heating & Ventilation at the Welsh Government site in Cardiff. You will start with foundational training while gaining hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and servicing systems, under guidance from experienced engineers.

The program runs for up to 3 years and includes a funded SCQF Level 6 qualification. GCSEs in Maths and English are required, and support is provided to achieve the apprenticeship goals at Mitie.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Apprentice at Mitie, you'll be at the heart of what we do, making a real impact from day one. Here's a glimpse of what your journey could include:

• Developing core skills and knowledge to install, maintain and service heating and ventilation systems.
• Assisting with planned routine maintenance as well as reactive repair tasks.
• Collaborating with experienced professionals to gain hands‑on experience.
• Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) standards, making safety and sustainability a priority in every task.

As part of your Apprenticeship, you will be enrolled onto a SCQF Level 6 Heating & Ventilation qualification which normally runs for 3 years. You will be fully supported by our partnered to achieve this qualification by having 1-2-1 advice and support, e-learning materials, and a whole team of experts on hand for advice and technical knowledge at your office.
