We like to offer successful candidates experience in all these areas during induction and probation, as we ask staff to redeploy to other areas when clinical need requires.

We will offer the successful applicant all relevant training and opportunities to develop skills relevant to Paediatrics as well as supporting them in completing study related to the college course.

If you share our passion for providing best possible care to children and their parents when they need it the most and want to work in a team which consistently strives to provide every patient with the care we want for those we love most then we would like to hear from you.

Main Duties of the Job

As the successful candidate, you will work either on Buxton or Children’s Day Ward.

Buxton is a 33 bedded ward, caring for children from all medical and surgical specialties as well as on our HDU unit.

The Children’s Day Ward where children come for day procedures and treatments including elective surgeries, chemotherapy, allergy food challenges and much more.

We would offer all additional relevant training required to extend their knowledge and skills to care of our patients. We also offer all staff the opportunity to become a link for areas that they have particular interest in and give opportunities to gain experience and receive training in this area and disseminate learning to colleagues.

This opportunity would allow the successful candidate to develop skills and experience in caring for children attending hospital and provide the high standard family centred care we pride ourselves on.
