Job summary

Lift Schools invites aspiring Geography teachers to join a school-based ITT apprenticeship that leads to PGCE and QTS. You will train in classrooms, paired with experienced mentors, while earning a wage and gaining practical experience.

The programme includes two-week Summer School, personalised mentoring, and weekly training, with a nationwide trainee network across Lift Schools. Eligibility requires a Geography degree or related field and GCSEs in English and Maths.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geography or related field by programme start.
• GCSE English & Mathematics grade 4(C) or above.
• Right to live and work in the UK for the training year.
• Must not currently hold QTS.

Responsibilities

• Gain practical classroom experience in a school-based setting.
• Receive weekly mentoring and coaching from a subject tutor and in-school mentor.
• Complete targeted weekly training modules as part of the apprenticeship.

A valid Geography (Geography) preferred or strong Geography A-Level (Grade C+)
