Job summary

The University of Warwick’s Gardens Team is offering a two-year Horticulture Apprenticeship starting September 2026. This on-site role covers grounds maintenance, planting and landscape tasks on the University campus, with mentored learning and practical experience.

You will attend college as required, complete coursework for an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Horticulture (NVQ Level 2), and be supported to achieve the apprenticeship with the University’s guidance.

Qualifications

• GCSE level or equivalent in English and Maths (grades 4–9).
• Willingness to attend college and complete coursework on schedule.
• Prepared to work towards an NVQ Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship in Horticulture.

Responsibilities

• Assist Gardens Team with maintenance and development of university grounds.
• Support soft landscaping projects and routine grounds care.
• Attend training sessions and apply learning on the job.
