Job summary

GAP Group is offering an Apprenticeship Programme in the United Kingdom to become a Test & Run Fitter within our Survey Division. You will learn to service and repair survey equipment, calibrate to manufacturer specifications, complete calibration certificates, and manage related paperwork.

Starting salaries during apprenticeship are £16,224 for under 18 and £17,680 for 18+, with progression to the National Minimum Wage on year 2 and salary increases as you advance through each year of the

The Role

GAP Survey & Safety offers one of the largest ranges of survey & safety equipment and accessories in the industry. From range of equipment including Robotic and GPS equipment, the division has everything our customers in the construction, utilities, and infrastructure sectors need.

Our Apprenticeship Programme covers all the essential skills and principles you will need to become a Test & Run Fitter within our specialist Survey Division and you'll learn how to service and repair survey equipment, including diagnosing specification errors on a variety of survey products and calibrate to within manufacturer specification.

You’ll will also learn how to complete calibration certificates and associated paperwork whilst maintaining an up to date knowledge of our Survey products, their application on site and the full range of accessories.

Our Apprenticeship Programme allows you to earn as you learn:

• Apprentices under 18 will be required to work up to 39 hours per week and will receive a starting salary of £16,224 per annum.
• Apprentices aged 18 and over will be required to work up to 42.5 hours per week and will receive a starting salary of £17,680 per annum.

After successful completion of Year 1 you will automatically be placed on the National Minimum Wage rate for your age group and as you progress through each year of your apprenticeship your salary will continue to increase.
