Job summary

Busy Bees Leicester Carlton Park in Narborough, near Leicester, is seeking enthusiastic individuals to start as Early Years Apprentices. You will help plan and deliver age-appropriate activities under the EYFS framework, supporting a caring team and building strong relationships with children and parents.

The role offers ongoing training, mentoring, and opportunities to grow within Busy Bees. Applicants should be resident in the UK for at least 3 years and show evidence of Maths and English

Qualifications

• Be passionate about childcare and start a career in Early Years.
• UK resident for at least 3 consecutive years (funding eligibility).
• Evidence of Maths and English achievements (GCSE 3/D or Level 2 FS).

Responsibilities

• Help plan and deliver exciting, age-appropriate activities following the EYFS framework.
• Support the team to provide high-quality childcare and positive learning experiences for all children.
• Build strong, supportive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Ensure children’s individual needs are understood and met.
• Contribute to the safeguarding of all children.
• Work toward completing your apprenticeship provided by Busy Bees Education and Training within the expected timeframe.

About Our Nursery

Busy Bees Leicester Carlton Park is a large and modern, Ofsted-rated Good nursery with a capacity of 105 children. The nursery features calming, age-appropriate rooms, designed to foster a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere where children can thrive at similar stages of their development. With a secure outdoor space, children are encouraged to explore, play, and take supervised safe risks in the fresh air. Conveniently located on King Edward Avenue in Narborough, just seven miles from Leicester city centre, the nursery offers free parking and is easily accessible by car, with the M1 motorway nearby. Essential Criteria

• Be passionate about childcare and motivated to start a career in Early Years
• To meet funding eligibility, you must have been a resident in the UK for at least the 3 consecutive years
• Be able to provide evidence of Maths and English achievements (GCSE Maths and English grade 3/D or above or Level 2 Functional Skills)

Desirable Criteria (not Essential)

• A Level 2 Early Years Practitioner qualification
