Coventry is expanding with a growing population and a buoyant and increasing private rented sector. A key strategic priority for the Council is to keep residents safe and tackle poor housing conditions. The Council currently responds to complaints in the Private Rented Sector and the issues caused by the poor management of privately rented properties. These services and schemes offer an opportunity to work in a busy, high-profile environment dealing with the inspection and enforcement of all private rented homes. You will be working under the general direction of the Safer Housing and HMO Licensing and Enforcement Team Managers, supporting key services provided to landlords, tenants, and residents in the city. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a caseload, carrying out activities relating to the compliance of private sector housing and providing assistance to the Safer Housing Team Manager and other Officers conducting enforcement investigations. You will undertake the Level 4 Regulatory Compliance Officer (Housing) Apprenticeship standard. This apprenticeship role is a fixed-term contract for 24 months in line with the length of the apprenticeship training.
