N Family Club is seeking an Apprentice Chef to join our London nurseries through the Level 2 Production Chef Apprenticeship. You will learn in purpose-built kitchens, be coached by dedicated trainers, and gain hands‑on experience while earning wages.

You’ll complete the Level 2 apprenticeship, attend regular sessions (remote or at workplace), and develop skills across menu planning, nutrition, and food hygiene. A pathway for growth and industry-leading benefits backs your career.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship standard level 2 for production chef.
• Regular trainer meetings, remote or on-site.
• Hands-on job training and paid work.
• Holiday leave provided during apprenticeship.

Responsabilités

• Cook fresh, nutritious meals for children from 7am–4pm, Monday–Friday.
• Develop and evolve menus cost‑effectively.
• Create snacks/dishes for children, including dietary needs.
• Promote healthy eating messages to children and parents.
• Provide friendly customer service and build rapport with families.
• Monitor portions and waste to support margins.
• Adhere to Environmental Health & Ofsted guidelines and keep records.

We are looking for someone that wants to learn to create balanced, nutritious and exciting menus. You will work in purpose-built kitchens in beautiful London nurseries. Day to day you will learn to:

• Cook fresh and inspiring food for our children from 7am-4pm, Monday-Friday
• Constantly develop and evolve our menu, but in a cost-effective manner
• Create fun and nutritional snacks/dishes for all children attending the nursery, including those with specific dietary requirements (3 snacks/meals a day)
• Promote healthy messages and ideas around food
• Deliver best-in-class customer service and maintain a positive rapport with children and parents
• Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
• Ensure that all policies and procedures are in compliance with Environmental Health & Ofsted guidelines and that all relevant records are kept in line with Health and Safety and Food Hygiene Standards

To become an apprentice, you must:

As an apprentice you’ll:

• complete a level 2 production chef apprenticeship standard
• have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace
• learn and train for a specific job
• get paid and receive holiday leave
• get hands‑on experience in a real job
• study for 6 hours of your working hours
• complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
• be on a career path with lots of future potential

What is an apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is a real job where you learn, gain experience and get paid. You’re an employee with a contract of employment and holiday leave. By the end of an apprenticeship, you'll have the right skills and knowledge needed for your chosen caree
