Job summary

Greene King is seeking an Apprentice Chef to join its Chef and Brewer pubs. You will train on the job, learning to prepare and present high-quality dishes while maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety standards.

You will work closely with a mentor and Lifetime Learner Coach, gaining practical skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The apprenticeship includes work-based delivery, support to obtain English and Maths Functional Skills, and regular reviews to track progress.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeships delivered through work-based training with mentor support.
• Functional Skills in English and Maths provided if needed.
• Structured reviews every 12 weeks with Line Manager and Coach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present food that meets specs and expectations.
• Maintain hygiene levels and safety regulations in the kitchen.
• Communicate clearly with your team to deliver high-quality meals on time.
• Keep up to date with new products, menus, and promotions.
