Job summary

Hilton in Birmingham is seeking an Apprentice Chef to learn in a fast-paced hotel kitchen, gaining hands-on experience alongside experienced chefs. You will support cooking, plating and knife skills while learning essential techniques. This role includes 4 days on site and 1 day at college, with online food hygiene training as part of your development.

The position pays £12.71 per hour and provides practical experience in a renowned hospitality brand.

  • Support kitchen operations: Assist chefs with food preparation, cooking, and plating dishes to ensure efficient service

  • Develop culinary skills: Observe and practice essential techniques, including knife handling, sautéing, and baking

  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness: Keep all work areas clean, tidy, and free of cross-contamination

  • Participate in Health & Safety development programs: Complete online food hygiene training to gain new skills and knowledge and advance your culinary career

  • Complete all aspects of the training programme

  • 4 days on site in the hotel, and 1 day in college
