Cranswick Country Foods in Preston, Hull site (HU12 8TB) is seeking highly-motivated individuals to join a comprehensive butchery training programme, aiming to develop skilled trade professionals.

You will complete initial training, learn knife skills, and work on the Cutting Line to produce quality cuts while maintaining hygiene and safety standards. Benefits include weekly pay, an attendance-related bonus, and a company pension.

Qualifications

• Preferred work experience in butchery, food production, or as a chef.
• Strong willingness to learn new skills in butchery.
• Good timekeeping and punctuality.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Attention to detail to maintain quality and safety.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive cuts.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial training and learn knife handling.
• Cut and butcher carcasses to specification on the cutting line.
• Prepare muscles on primals, seam and trim to standard.
• Remove bones from primals to standard.
• Operate all saws on the Cutting Line, including the loin derinder.
