Job description
Overview

Stockton Riverside College is a dynamic college, recently awarded Outstanding by Ofsted, recognised for delivering education and training across academic, vocational and higher education courses. We are part of The Education Training Collective (Etc.), a group of colleges and training providers in the Tees Valley. Our vision is: ONE Etc. – Fuelling ambition and driving success in a resurgent Teesside and beyond. We are looking for candidates who believe in education’s power to transform lives and share our commitment to excellence, opportunity and achievement.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Apprenticeship Trainer to join our Construction, Professional and Service Industries team, reporting to our Apprenticeship Manager. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering excellence across the Construction, Professional, and Service industries, providing high-quality outcomes for clients in public and private sectors. We are a collaborative group of professionals focused on our students and the wider local community. Our culture encourages continuous improvement, professional growth, and cross-functional collaboration. If you are passionate about building the future — from the ground up — and thrive in a team that values professionalism, integrity, and service excellence, we want to hear from you.

As an Apprenticeship Trainer with Stockton Riverside College, you will support Apprentices up to Level 3. Through training and coaching, you will guide and support learners’ knowledge, skills and behaviours, meeting regularly with the wider apprenticeship team to plan effective reviews with Apprentices and Employers. Through effective communication you will set and communicate clear targets and provide feedback to drive timely achievement.

The ideal candidate will have significant industry experience in the electrical sector and must be qualified to Level 3. Whether you are already a trainer or considering developing a role that utilises your existing skills, and if you have a real passion for sharing knowledge and developing others, we want to hear from you. You will be an effective communicator, able to engage with learners and peers. You will be an excellent planner, able to manage your time and conflicting priorities, and you will have the ability to coach, develop and mentor.
