Job description
Job Overview

We are looking to recruit an Apprentice to support the Children Team located in our Peterborough office. The position is full time and hours of work will be Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5.30pm with 1 hour unpaid break. You will be studying a NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration (Legal).

Activities
  • Provide administrative and typing support to the Children Department
  • Taking telephone messages and or making appointments
  • Opening and Closing Files
  • Archiving Original Documents
  • Supporting Fee Earners in the Department
  • Providing support to the main office including main reception and post dispatch to cover lunch times, holidays and sickness as and when required.
  • Undertaking photocopying and scanning of documents
  • To undertake regular training as identified by the appraisal process
  • Assisting in the preparation of bundles;
  • Preparing interim bills;
  • Assisting in the applications for legal aid;
  • Assisting in diary management.
  • To assist with any other duties as required by the business
Skills and attributes

You must be a good communicator as you’ll be dealing with the other staff members and members of the public. Good organisational skills would also be beneficial
