Shape Safer, Smarter Buildings Across North Yorkshire
Our Building Control Service in North Yorkshire Council is ambitious for the future. As the largest Council geographically, we are a growing team, investing in our workforce and have the advantage of working at scale across our stunning region.
Are you a detail-driven professional who wants to make a real impact in the built environment? Do you thrive on variety, autonomy, and being part of a forward-thinking team? If so, this could be the ideal next step in your career.
We’re looking for a talented and motivated Building Control Surveyor to join the North Yorkshire Building Control Partnership (NYBCP) — the UK’s first and most established local authority building control partnership. Whether you're an experienced surveyor or working towards qualification, we want to hear from you. At NYBCP, we’re proud to set the standard for modern, collaborative public sector building control. Representing North Yorkshire Council, we work with a wide range of residential, commercial and complex development projects - from historic renovations to sustainable new builds.
We don’t just ensure compliance with the Building Act 1984 - we promote safety, sustainability, accessibility, and great design. Join us, and you’ll be part of a respected, innovative and supportive team, delivering a vital service with pride.
At NYBCP, we value people just as much as performance. We offer a flexible, forward-thinking environment where you can thrive — both personally and professionally.
