Job summary

Entrust is hiring an Applied Scientist Lead - Computer Vision to guide a team of six scientists. You will shape the ML roadmap, mentor researchers, and contribute hands-on about 50% of the time in code and model development. The role blends research impact with production readiness.

London, UK or Paris, France (Hybrid – 3 days in office) and a focus on high-performance, scalable vision-language models for data extraction and mobile-friendly deployments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience leading a team of ML scientists or research engineers.
• 5+ years of industry experience in a machine learning science team.
• Strong experience in machine learning and computer vision.
• Strong coding skills in Python and PyTorch.

Responsibilities

• Define the team's roadmap with product and engineering leads.
• Lead a team of applied scientists and contribute to dataset creation, model training, and evaluation.
• Push research frontiers in vision-language modelling, document understanding, and distillation.
• Publish research results at conferences and in journals.
