Job summary

JPMorganChase in London is seeking an Applied AI & ML Scientist for Markets Operations. You will design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions to automate processes and improve efficiency.

Collaborate with business and tech partners to translate needs into scalable AI-driven tools, driving operational excellence across the team. Responsibilities include building production-grade ML systems, monitoring performance, and documenting methodologies to share best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Data Science, CS, AI or related field.
• Strong AI/ML foundation with data analysis, feature engineering.
• Experience with large datasets and statistical analysis.
• In production, train/deploy/maintain ML models.
• Proficient in Python and ML libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with MLOps and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience building Generative AI apps; LLMOps familiarity.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to stakeholders.

As an Applied AI & ML Scientist in the Market Operations team, you will design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions that directly support and enhance Markets Operations. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and technology partners to understand operational needs, translate requirements into technical solutions, and ensure successful adoption of AI-driven tools. You'll help foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, making a tangible impact on our business. Your work will contribute to optimizing processes and driving efficiency across the team.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms to address operational challenges
• Deploy AI/ML solutions for process automation, anomaly detection, document intelligence, and workflow optimization
• Architect and oversee generative AI applications to automate and enhance business processes
• Build and maintain production-grade AI/ML applications and tools for Market Operations
• Monitor, evaluate, and improve the performance of deployed models and solutions
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather requirements, validate solutions, and measure impact
• Document methodologies, results, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and scalability
• Stay current with AI/ML advancements and apply relevant techniques to business problems

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong foundation in AI/ML concepts and practical experience with data analysis, feature engineering, and model development
• Experience working with large, complex datasets and applying statistical analysis
• Hands-on experience training, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models in production environments
• Proficiency in Python and relevant AI/ML libraries (such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Experience with MLOps practices and tools for managing the machine learning lifecycle
• Experience building and deploying Generative AI applications, including familiarity with LLMOps
• Exposure to cloud platforms (such as AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in small teams
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to business stakeholders and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
• Experience in financial services, banking, or Markets Operations environments
