Job summary

Moody's Investors Service seeks a Summer Intern in our Banking AI program to contribute to applied AI initiatives, including generative AI, for financial risk assessment and decision support. You will engage in hands-on projects, mentorship, and structured training.

You will design AI prototypes, analyze banking data, and translate business needs into AI solutions while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. This 10‑week program offers exposure to Moody’s culture and career paths.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of ML, NLP, and data engineering concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI models and platforms (OpenAI, Hugging Face, Google Gemini).
• Proficiency in Python and cloud-based AI development environments.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing AI prototypes for financial risk assessment and decision support.
• Conducting data analysis and context engineering using banking datasets.
• Researching emerging AI tools and frameworks relevant to use cases.
• Contributing to AI projects addressing real-world business challenges.
• Translating business requirements into AI-driven solutions with stakeholders.
• Communicating insights and outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences.
