Fitch Ratings is a leading provider of credit ratings and research, offering a Full-Stack Software Engineer role based in Manchester, UK. The position operates on a 6-month contract, hybrid working (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday in office), with a day rate of £467.50 inside IR35.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full‑stack applications using Java, REACT, and Python.
• Assist in the architecture, design, and development of applications to ensure robustness, scalability, and maintainability.
• Lead and contribute to data migration projects, ensuring seamless and efficient transitions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of software solutions.
• Contribute to the software engineering functional area by adhering to established tools, technologies, standards, and ways of working.
• Participate in Agile development processes to deliver high‑quality software solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with data migrations and relational database design.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and Real‑Time Data Management Systems (RTDMS).
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
