Applications Engineer - The Role

• Design and implement machine vision applications for a range of automated inspection systems
• Collaborate closely with a talented team of engineers, suppliers, and customers to deliver complete project solutions.
• Produce technical documentation, specifications, and test studies to ensure robust system design.
• Support machine build, installation, and commissioning (including FAT & SAT).
• Provide on-site and remote training to customers, helping operators get the best from their new systems.
• Create vision demos and proof-of-concept solutions for proposals and evaluations.

You’ll be based at the Oxfordshire HQ, with occasional UK travel (around 5-10%) for site commissioning and training visits - typically short trips of 2-3 days.

Applications Engineer - The Person

• Degree-qualified in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or similar).
• Minimum 2 years' experience in an engineering environment - automation or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Interest in machine vision, image processing, optics, or AI technology.
• Hands‑on approach with a proactive attitude and strong communication skills.
