Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate technical and commercial quotations for switchboards, MCCs, and control panels.
  • Review customer enquiries, specifications, and drawings to define solutions.
  • Act as the technical point of contact during pre-sales and quotation stages.
  • Liaise with customers to clarify requirements and propose suitable options.
  • Work with internal design, production, and procurement teams to confirm feasibility and costs.
  • Ensure proposals comply with relevant standards (ISO 9001, BS EN, UL/CUL).
  • Provide smooth handover of information from quotation through to order fulfilment.
  • Maintain accurate records of enquiries and quotations.
Requirements
  • Background in electrical engineering, applications engineering, or technical sales.
  • Experience in quotations, estimating, or applications within electrical panels, LV distribution, or control systems.
  • Understanding of switchboards, MCCs, and control panels (without needing to do detailed design).
  • Ability to interpret customer specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
  • Strong commercial awareness and costing skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing ability.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple enquiries.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, or UL standards is an advantage.
