Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate technical and commercial quotations for switchboards, MCCs, and control panels.
- Review customer enquiries, specifications, and drawings to define solutions.
- Act as the technical point of contact during pre-sales and quotation stages.
- Liaise with customers to clarify requirements and propose suitable options.
- Work with internal design, production, and procurement teams to confirm feasibility and costs.
- Ensure proposals comply with relevant standards (ISO 9001, BS EN, UL/CUL).
- Provide smooth handover of information from quotation through to order fulfilment.
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries and quotations.
Requirements
- Background in electrical engineering, applications engineering, or technical sales.
- Experience in quotations, estimating, or applications within electrical panels, LV distribution, or control systems.
- Understanding of switchboards, MCCs, and control panels (without needing to do detailed design).
- Ability to interpret customer specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
- Strong commercial awareness and costing skills.
- Excellent communication and client-facing ability.
- Organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple enquiries.
- Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, or UL standards is an advantage.
