Applications Engineer Instrumentation Industry

A leading innovator in the instrumentation sector is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to join its skilled technical team. The company designs and manufactures precision equipment used across global industries, with a focus on quality, accuracy, and performance.

Location : Coventry (with overseas travel)

Salary : £40,000 £45,000 per annum

Contract Type : Permanent, Full Time

Hours : Monday Thursday, 7 : 30am 4 : 00pm; Friday, 7 : 30am 3 : 00pm

The Role

This is a hands‑on engineering role requiring strong expertise in CNC programming and machine setup (35 axis, Siemens controls preferred). Youll play a key part in developing, testing, and optimising manufacturing processes, supporting both internal teams and global customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and modify CNC programs (primarily Siemens 840).
  • Machine, grind, and inspect precision components to specification.
  • Optimise machining cycles and implement process improvements.
  • Conduct full functional testing of machines before customer delivery.
  • Prepare and install equipment at customer sites worldwide.
  • Deliver operator and maintenance training to customers.
