Luton Bennett in Bromsgrove is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to support the sales team with bids and technical designs. You will develop designs using AutoCAD, prepare technical and commercial bids, and craft detailed specifications while reviewing reports, maps, drawings, and data.

The role requires a mechanical or chemical engineering degree and experience in process plant or air movement equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in applications or proposals-focused roles with process plant or air movement equipment.
• Engineering degree in mechanical, chemical, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles including Mass Balance, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics and Material Properties.
• Ability to develop designs and prepare technical and commercial bids.

Applications Engineer (Proposals / Bids)

£55,000 to £65,000 DOE + 25 Days Holiday and Bank Holiday + Company Pension + Laptop + Phone

Monday to Friday 37.5 Hours

Applications Engineer required for a market leading international engineering company.

This company provide custom built solutions for air pollution control issues. The company offer full product training and offer scope for future career progression. This would suit those who like to have some travel within a role.

This role would suit an engineer with experience in and an applications or proposals focused role, working with process plant equipment or air movement equipment such as ducts, fans or similar. You will hold an engineering degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or similar.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing applications support to the wider sales team and the preparation of bids. You will be involved in reviewing project requirements provided by the sales team and complete the design to ensure the concept can be achieved.

The Applications Engineer Role:

• Development of designs using AutoCAD and drawing approvals
• Preparation of technical and commercial bids
• Developing technical specifications and associated documents
• Analysis of reports, maps, drawings, photographs, geological data etc.
• Travel up to 25% - international and national

The Applications Engineer Candidate:

• Experienced mechanical engineer
• Hold an engineering degree - mechanical, chemical or similar
• Knowledge of Engineering principles, including Mass Balance, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics and Material Properties
• Experience with process plant equipment or air movement equipment such as ducts, fans etc.
