Overview

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHCT Northumbria Healthcare) invites applications for an experienced Application Support Officer with a strong focus on system development, enhancement, and technical innovation to support the NEP Consortium. The role involves shaping and improving key applications across the Consortium’s P2P, O2C, and A2R solutions, ensuring systems are robust, efficient, and aligned with best practice. You will work within the Applications and Systems Support Teams to lead on design, testing, and implementation of new developments and system improvements, from software and web functionality to reporting tools and integrations. You will advise and support Consortium members in adopting system enhancements and standardised business processes.

Key responsibilities

• Leading and contributing to system design, development, and testing activities.
• Implementing enhancements and new functionality across a range of business systems.
• Providing specialist technical advice, analysis, and data reporting to support decision-making.
• Supporting training and mentoring of colleagues to strengthen technical capability across the team.
• Ensuring all developments meet security and compliance standards under NEP SLAs.

The role contributes to maintaining and improving system functionality across financial and procurement applications, delivering a first-class service for Consortium members and colleagues. You will engage directly with clients to resolve technical and application issues, while contributing to the design, testing, and implementation of new developments and system improvements.

Accounts Payable Specialist – Application Development Team

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Application Development Team. The team covers Technical, Applications, Business/Account Management, and Support functions, focused on the day-to-day management, maintenance, and ongoing development of NEP’s Oracle Fusion Cloud solutions to ensure service excellence. As the Application Support Officer specializing in Accounts Payable, you will resolve complex Accounts Payable queries, drive improvements in system processes, and promote best practices across the NEP Consortium. You will work closely with our Customer Service team to provide front-line and service desk support to Consortium Organisations.
