DV-Cleared Application Support Engineer – Contract – £500‑£600 a day

Hays Technology is recruiting an Application Support Engineer for a secure, on‑site contract role in Cheltenham. This position is outside IR35 and requires active DV clearance.

Rate: £500‑£600/day
Location: Cheltenham (5 days/week on‑site)
Duration: Contract
Clearance: Must hold live DV clearance

Role Overview

Join a specialist team maintaining a cross‑domain managed service using modern Application Support practices. You'll support deployments, monitor performance, and troubleshoot issues across a diverse tech stack.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy code using Java, Maven, NPM, Terraform, and Ansible
• Manage CI pipelines and automated testing (Cypress)
• Monitor services with InfluxDB and Grafana
• Provide 2nd/3rd line support and incident response
• Perform OS patching, database housekeeping, and data centre ops
