A leading healthcare organization is seeking a technical authority to manage and optimize application delivery across various platforms in Barnsley. The role involves overseeing Linux environments, providing third-line support, and managing complex projects to improve efficiency. Youll play a central role in deploying and configuring crucial business software across our organisation. This includes managing our third-line technical support for our applications and working with stakeholders across NHSBT to resolve issues. By helping us run more efficiently and effectively, your work will ultimately help us save and improve lives across the UK.Youll also take on key projects involving our applications, managing project deadlines while delivering complex technical solutions. As a lead technical authority for applications, youll be a source of expertise for our business units, but youll also deliver service changes which affect all our users. Alongside your main duties, youll contribute to our long-term business strategy and find ways to evolve our application technology.
You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice You will be required to participate in an on-call out of hours rota, which may include evening, weekend and public holiday working.
