In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in clinical microbiology, demonstrating a deep understanding of laboratory procedures, protocols, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to support pre‑sales activities, including product demonstrations, technical discussions, and customer training.
  • Provide on‑site or remote training to laboratory staff on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of microbiology diagnostic instruments.
  • Assist customers in setting up and optimizing laboratory workflows for efficient and accurate microbiology testing.
  • Conduct product installations, validations, and performance verifications at customer sites.
The essential requirements of the job include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of clinical microbiology principles, techniques, and laboratory practices.
  • Experience working in a clinical microbiology laboratory, preferably with hands‑on experience with microbiology diagnostic instruments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical / Environment Requirements:
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time, overnight, within territory.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • IVD‑Industry application support.
Good understanding of lab IT environment
