Job description
Application Specialist, DMS Team – Belfast

Abacus is promoting this opportunity on behalf of a dynamic and fast‑growing professional services company. They are keen to attract an Application Specialist to join the DMS team within their Belfast base.

The Role:

The role is designed for you to contribute to the implementation of system updates, upgrades and improvements. You will also monitor system performance and bottlenecks and ensure systems are aligned to best practice and functioning within optimum levels. You will also support and lead projects and support and maintain IMCC integrations and suggest and implement improvements within the DMS ecosystem.

You will also provide SQL scripting for reports and confidently liaise with external vendors, internal technical teams and end‑users. You will also provide DMS training and upskilling of the IT service desk team.

The role suits someone who can demonstrate excellent customer service skills and work with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, from leadership to support. It suits someone who is strong on technical aspects but also keen to pitch in with ideas and initiative as part of a continuous improvement culture.

Your Experience and Skills:
  • In‑depth knowledge of iManage Work 10
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint
  • Experience of Active Directory and Azure cloud services
  • Confident with Incident and Problem Management
  • Ability to work within ITIL framework
  • Good knowledge iManage Work Server, Communications Server, Preview Server and RAVN
  • Experience with data migration tools
  • Strong troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with an Information barrier solution e.g. Intapp Walls
  • Experience with Litera tools e.g. Litera CAM
Desirable experience:
  • Working knowledge of APIs and use within a DMS is beneficial
  • iManage Certified Systems Engineer qualification is highly beneficial
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications are beneficial.

This is a two‑stage interview process online and then on‑site. It is important to note that this role is 3 days on site and 2 days WFH and that travel is very rare. It is mainly a 9am-5pm role but occasionally, some upgrades will be required outside of core hours e.g. on a Saturday morning, but this is evenly spread across the team.
