We're working with a highly respected financial services organisation seeking an experienced Application Manager to lead the operational management of a critical portfolio of enterprise applications supporting Finance, HR, Risk, Compliance and other corporate functions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a service-focused technology leader to take ownership of a complex application environment, driving service stability, operational resilience, supplier performance and continuous improvement across a business-critical portfolio.

The Role

As Application Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day performance, governance and lifecycle management of a portfolio of enterprise applications. Working closely with senior business stakeholders, technology teams and third-party suppliers, you'll ensure services remain secure, reliable and aligned to business priorities.

You'll lead application support teams, oversee major incidents and service improvements, manage supplier relationships and ensure all applications operate within regulatory, security and governance requirements.

About You

• Practical experience of ITIL and service management best practices
• Experience leading major incidents, problem management and service improvement initiatives
• Strong supplier and vendor management experience
• Knowledge of application security, access management and operational controls
• Experience working within regulated environments such as Financial Services, Insurance, Utilities or other highly governed sectors
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• ITIL certification
• Financial Services or Wealth Management experience
• Experience managing application support teams and matrix resources
• Exposure to audit, risk and regulatory frameworks
