Job summary

NTT DATA UK&I is seeking an experienced AMS leader to drive public sector opportunities across government, health, and local bodies. You will qualify opportunities, lead responses to RFIs, RFPs and ITTs, and design scalable AMS solutions with strong governance and security.

You will develop cost models and pricing aligned to margins, present solutions to CxO-level clients, and collaborate with delivery teams to mobilise engagements while ensuring compliance with ITIL and UK frameworks.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in AMS or Managed Services roles.
  • Extensive experience with UK public sector clients (central/local government, health, or arms-length bodies).
  • Holder of UK Security Clearance (SC) or eligible for it.
  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes (RFI, RFP, ITT, frameworks).
  • Proven experience in AMS solutioning, estimation, pre-sales support, bid leadership, service transition and mobilisation, and delivery governance and assurance.
  • Ability to operate at multiple levels from CxO to L2/L3 engineers.
  • Solid knowledge of ITIL-based service management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication including senior client presentations.
  • Desirable: experience with UK public sector frameworks (G-Cloud, DOS, Technology Services frameworks).
  • Desirable: ERP/SAP/Oracle/Salesforce/MS Dynamics and integration/middleware familiarity.
  • Desirable: ServiceNow experience.
  • Desirable: experience in a matrixed/global delivery model.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the AMS subject matter expert for public sector opportunities.
  • Support qualification of AMS opportunities with sales and account teams.
  • Lead responses to RFIs, RFPs, and ITTs, including written responses and bid reviews.
  • Design AMS solutions covering service scope, operating models, tooling, automation, and compliance.
  • Develop cost models, estimates, and pricing aligned to commercial and margin targets.
  • Present solutions to clients and support commercial negotiations.
  • Work with delivery teams to mobilise and transition new AMS engagements.
  • Define service governance, SLAs, KPIs, and reporting.
  • Establish ITIL-aligned service management processes.
  • Ensure operating models meet public sector requirements including data protection and security.
  • Provide ongoing delivery assurance across AMS engagements.
  • Chair or support service governance forums with clients.
  • Act as escalation point for service, commercial, or delivery risks.
  • Ensure contractual commitments, SLAs, and outcomes are met.
  • Support resource planning and mobilisation for AMS engagements.
  • Identify skills gaps and capability needs with delivery leadership.
  • Contribute to reusable AMS assets, accelerators, and best practices.

  • Desirable: familiarity with application landscapes including ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle, bespoke and COTS applications such as Salesforce or MS Dynamics, and integration or middleware platforms.
  • Desirable: experience with service management tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Desirable: experience working in a matrixed or global delivery model.
