Job summary

Wynne Consulting seeks an Application Engineer for a remote role serving the UK market. You will visit customers to develop vacuum solutions, coordinate with Systems and Service teams, and work with Sales to present compelling proposals.

The position requires strong knowledge of vacuum processes, experience in similar roles, and the ability to discuss market trends and competitors with customers. Remote working and client visits across the UK are expected.

Responsibilities

• Summarise market potential to support relevant customer conversations.
• Demonstrate good knowledge of processes and vacuum applications.
• Show awareness of competitor vacuum pump firms.

Job description

We're recruiting an Application Engineer for a well-established international manufacturer of Vacuum Pumps and Industrial Vacuum Systems, helping support the Food & Beverage and Pharmaceutical industries.

This is a remote position, meaning there is no requirement to go into the office, and you will either be working from home or visiting clients throughout the UK.

Package:

• £10,000 to £15,000 Company Bonus

Responsibilities:

• Customer visits to find, develop and present vacuum solutions, either jointly or individually, at site or via Teams.
• Liaising with Systems and Service teams, to brief them on the required solutions to a sufficient level of detail that enables cost estimate and technical specifications to be prepared.
• Work with the Sales team to develop compelling proposals that demonstrate value and return-on-investment for Customers.
• Coach and develop team members to increase their understanding of customer processes, vacuum applications and tools such as VPS.
• Research market trends, competitor offerings and process developments in assigned segments, becoming the expert who is able to a summarise market potential, therefore ensuring we are well positioned to have relevant conversations with Customers.
