Job summary

SR2 REC LTD is seeking an Applications Engineer to support the integration, commissioning and troubleshooting of advanced navigation and sensing technology across autonomous, robotic, marine and defence applications.

You will work hands-on across hardware, software and data, helping customers integrate complex sensing systems onto real-world platforms and diagnosing issues through deployment and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Experience in integrating electronic or sensor-based systems.
• Hands-on integration and troubleshooting across hardware, software and data.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-facing communication.
• Experience deploying systems on autonomous or robotic platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support integration, commissioning and troubleshooting of navigation and sensing systems.
• Investigate technical issues and assist deployment on real-world platforms.
• Coordinate with customers to ensure successful field deployments.
• Provide hands-on support across hardware, software and data interfaces.

Applications Engineer - Autonomous Systems

We're looking for an Applications Engineer to support the integration, commissioning and troubleshooting of advanced navigation and sensing technology across autonomous, robotic, marine and defence applications.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing engineering role for someone who enjoys working across hardware, software and data. You'll help customers integrate complex sensing systems onto real-world platforms, investigate technical issues and support systems through commissioning and deployment.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Strong systems integration, applications or field engineering experience
• Hands-on integration and troubleshooting of electronic / sensor-based systems
• Comfortable working across hardware, software and data
• Experience analysing logs, test data and system behaviour to diagnose issues
• Strong customer-facing communication and technical problem-solving skills
• Experience integrating systems onto autonomous, robotic, marine or similarly complex platforms
• Comfortable supporting commissioning, testing and real-world deployments

Desirable:

• GNSS, INS, IMU or other positioning / navigation technologies
• UAV, UGV, ROV or AUV platforms
• Robotics or autonomous systems
• Subsea / marine technology
• Python and/or MATLAB
• ROS / ROS2
• SDKs and APIs
• Telemetry and communications protocols
• Sensor calibration, configuration or data analysis
