Junior Applications Engineer

Location: St Albans

Salary: Competitive

Contract Type: Permanent

Our client, a producer of Vision Inspection Systems, is currently recruiting for a Junior Applications Engineer in their St Albans office. As an Applications Engineer, you will be required to provide support to internal staff and customers, as well as support on-site installation and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities - Junior Applications Engineer

  • Provide technical support to internal staff and customers, including joint sales visits
  • Conduct product trials and application evaluations for new enquiries
  • Develop vision system applications and configure barcode systems
  • Support on-site installation, commissioning, and customer technical support
  • Contribute technical input to sales quotations and attend supplier training

Qualifications & Requirements - Junior Applications Engineer

  • Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Programming, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Camera vision applications experience (not essential)
  • PC programming skills (C#, .NET, JavaScript) (not essential)
  • PLC programming or relevant industry experience (not essential)
