Job Description
AP Clerk responsibilities:
- Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Maintain and update vendor accounts, addressing discrepancies as needed
- Prepare payment runs and ensure timely disbursement of funds
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any outstanding balances
- Assist with month-end closing processes, including reporting and documentation
- Collaborate with internal departments to manage financial data effectively
- Contribute to process improvements within the accounts payable function
The Successful Applicant
A successful AP Clerk should have:
- A background in accounting or finance
- Proficiency in financial software and strong numerical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Effective communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
