Job summary

Henry Blue Ltd. is recruiting an Animal Management Lecturer for a Croydon-based college on a temporary basis through January 2027, with an immediate start. The role focuses on delivering Animal Management teaching to Level 1–2 and T Level content.

Applicants should have proven Animal Management teaching experience, strong knowledge of animal care, welfare and husbandry, and an enhanced DBS on the Update Service. The position supports learners’ development in a practical learning environment.

Qualifications

• Previous Animal Management teaching experience – essential.
• Experience teaching Level 1 and Level 2 Animal Management.
• Experience delivering T Level Animal Management.
• Strong knowledge of animal care, welfare and husbandry.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service – essential.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Relevant Animal Management, Animal Science, Zoology or related qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective Animal Management teaching.
• Teach Level 1 & Level 2 City & Guilds Animal Management.
• Deliver T Level Animal Management content.
• Plan and prepare lessons and learning materials.
• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Support learners with their academic and practical development.
• Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
• Complete relevant assessment and learner documentation.
