Travail employment group are delighted to be working with a very successful Hydrotherapy Centre company in Sheffield and Chesterfield area, who are looking for an Animal Hydrotherapist to join their Hydrotherapy team. The role offers a £27,046 PA salary, 30 days holiday, Westfield Health Care, and flexible start/finish times.

Reporting to the Senior Hydrotherapist, you will operate underwater treadmills, monitor animal welfare, maintain equipment and keep treatment records.

Qualifications

• Holds a Canine Hydrotherapy Level 4 qualification (essential).
• Experience operating underwater treadmills and supporting animal recovery.
• Strong animal handling skills with understanding of behaviour and welfare.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and safe treatment practices.
• Good record-keeping and ability to monitor progress.

Responsibilities

• Operate underwater treadmills to support small animal rehabilitation and recovery.
• Monitor movement, comfort and progress during treatment.
• Ensure animal welfare and stress-free sessions.
• Clean, maintain and safely operate hydrotherapy equipment.

Working within a team of 3 you will be reporting to the Senior Hydrotherapist. You will be responsible for:

• Operating underwater treadmills to support small animal rehabilitation and recovery.
• Monitoring animal movement, comfort and progress during treatment.
• Ensuring animal welfare, safe handling and stress-free sessions.
• Cleaning, maintain and safely operate hydrotherapy equipment.
• Recording treatment sessions and report progress or concerns.
• Communicating with veterinary professionals, colleagues and pet owners.

The successful Animal Hydrotherapist will:

• Hold a level 4 in Canine Hydrotherapy (essential).
• Practical experience operating underwater treadmills and supporting animal recovery.
• Animal handling skills and a good understanding of animal behaviour and welfare.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, mobility issues and safe treatment practices.
• Good record-keeping and observation skills to monitor progress and maintain accurate treatment records.

This role would suit someone who has been working as an Animal Hydrotherapist, Canine Hydrotherapist or Hydrotherapist.

• Monday – Friday
• Flexible working hours: Start and finish times between 7:00am and 8:00pm, depending on scheduled appointments.
• Working hours (full-time and part-time opportunities). Full-time positions involve 37.5 hours per week.
