Job summary

Glenthorne Vets is seeking an enthusiastic Animal Care Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis, supporting the clinical team with patient and client care. You’ll work under a Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse, assisting with inpatient care, patient handling and restraint, and helping to maintain clinical areas and equipment in a compassionate setting.

40 hours per week with Monday–Friday 8-hour shifts; Saturday mornings on a rota with toil.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with animals in a clinical or non-clinical setting is advantageous.
• Support inpatient care and assist with patient handling and restraint.
• Maintain clinical areas and equipment and contribute to patient and client care.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Animal Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely.

Working under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and equipment, and contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for both patients and clients.

Working Pattern

• 40 hours a week Mon-Fri 8 hour shifts. Saturday am on a rota basis with toil
